Andy Warhols use of polaroid

Andy Warhol is a prime example of photographers who use Polaroid as a form of platform for exhibition work and a excellent example of how Polaroids are one of kind and something everyone should try with the above photos recently been sold for a substantially about of money.

continuing sequence

My experimentation with Polaroid continued took a new level with positive outcomes  and it can be seen with the images displayed in this post above .What should be noted with this experimentation is that they where created with the knowledge to expect the unexpected. Each Polaroid came out differently making them small collected yet diverse images. The one thing that is a strong focal point in these images is the red tone that blends through the images giving it contrasting look .

Self portraits

The two images above are my self portraits which out of the whole project had a good outcome.I felt naturally at ease because i was portraying no one other than myself. The positioning of the subject ie me in the photos was intentional to express my discomfort of self portraits.

Final hero images

This is the outcome of my hero shoot I'm am not pleased with the outcome. When reviewing and comparing these images, I think have i choose the least iconic image when associated with blondie. .I believe the lighting is wrong as well as the poor quality.Although the image of blondie  looks simple I found it hard to do the make up justice and found myself getting frustrated because I could not see any connection between the two photos other than the top she is wearing. After numerous attempts this was the best outcome.

Photo book research

Francesca Woodman

Another inspiring book, this book has a more minimalist approach . The image on the cover is small and barely takes up any room with the title just the name of the photographer boldly stated underneath no fuss more to the point. From what i can gather the images go in order from the photographers early images and goes on to progress into later work .

Personal Best

There is a consistency with the books i have researched with the overlapping images on two pages and the sizing of images. This book is similar although in a larger form.I am inspired by this book because of the amount of documentation genres it covers even though its a collection of what I'm gathering is his personal best it gives the viewer a chance to see through the photographers eyes and everything he has witnessed and been able to capture. The book has large images which cover two pages and every now and again you come across a simple image that's not clustered with people, the image placed on the right hand side and the left completely white maybe suggesting or acting as a divider or time-out to all the large spread images.
